Have a Peaceful Veteran's Day. Shalom.

The Links Between the Dalai Lama and Neuroscience
The Dalai Lama will present a lecture to the world's largest group of brain scientists this weekend.
Some small studies have suggested that meditating on compassion can affect parts of the brain associated with positive thoughts. The Dalai Lama's talk will discuss meditation as a way to promote well-being and compassion.

Also, this weird situation:
"Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, took a rare swipe at the United States, saying he was puzzled why residents in the capital of the world's oldest democracy have no Congressional voting rights."

Interesting eh?

Hi Mari: I do remember you! It is pretty cool that someone from my country is reading my american husband's blog =). About the Summit Charlie might have more to say about it. Personally I had mixed feelings. It was great to be in the newspapers all around the world and have more and more people know about our country. On the other hand it was not nice to wake up one day and have in the front page a pic of a guy breaking the window glasses of a store. I totally agree with the protest but that's definitely not the way, don't you think? Saludos! Marcela
